Because your privacy is important to us, LCDP operates by these principles:
(1) We explicitly ask when we need information that personally identifies you
("Personal Information"). For example, LCDP asks you for your name, e-mail name
and address when you register to be a volunteer. We use your Personal Information to
operate and personalize your experience with the LCDP Web site, provide you with the
information you request, and we may occasionally inform you of new events and information
related to the Lubbock County Democratic Party.
(2) LCDP may carefully select candidates or other Democratic political
organizations to send you information about their events. If you don't want LCDP to do
this, you may e-mail webmaster@lubbockdemocrats.org
to request that you not receive such information.
(3) Personally identifiable information that you choose to provide to another Web
site will be subject to the privacy policies of that Web site. For example, if you follow
a hyperlink from LCDP to another site (e.g., a candidate Web site), information you
provide is subject to that site's privacy policy rather than our privacy policy.
(4) The LCDP Web site utilizes cookies. Cookies
are pieces of information that a Web site transfers to your computer's hard disk for
record-keeping purposes. Cookies can make the Web more useful and easier to use by storing
information about your preferences on a particular site. The use of cookies is an industry
standard, and many major Web sites use them to provide useful features for their
customers. Most browsers are initially set to accept cookies. If you'd prefer, you can set
yours to refuse cookies.
If at any time you believe that LCDP has not
adhered to these principles, please notify us by e-mail to webmaster@lubbockdemocrats.org
and we will use all commercially reasonable efforts to promptly determine and correct the
problem. |
